By 1868 when the Pennsylvania railroad came to town the Pennock Brothers, Willard and Issac, manufactured and patented the first steel railway car in the United States.  Minerva is also the birth place of Charles E. Wilson, Secretary of Defense under President Eisenhower. President William McKinley also frequented the Minerva Area while visiting his summer home located a few miles east of Minerva locally known as the McKinley Farm.  Today Minerva offers an outstanding quality of life and an excellent place to raise a family, work, or to retire to.  To learn more about Minerva we invite you to further explore our web site.

Spring has arrived and that means it's Spring Cleaning time! Please be advised that the Village has specific ordinances that have to be followed. -Permits are required for pools -Permits are required for installation of fences, sheds, garages, additions or new construction. -Permits are required

SPRING CLEAN UP
SPRING CLEAN UP is scheduled for Saturday, May 18.  All trash must be in disposable containers and placed at the curb by 6:00 AM on May 18. 

These containers must not exceed 50 pounds each.  No dirt, rocks or material of this nature will be hauled.  No household paints or
     
HOMECOMING & PARADE
Minerva's 91st Annual Homecoming will be held June 19-22 at Municipal Park. The parade will begin at 6:00 pm on June 19. Please call Village Hall for more information.
